Durable mill cutters suit hard steel and fine processing
Zecha’s milling cutters are said to be designed for hard machining applications, where they offer precision and long service lives.
According to the supplier, the 581 H and 583 H series feature a special dual-edge geometry and suitable coating which allows fine 3D contours in μm range to be milled in CrCo, highly alloyed or even hardened tool steels of up to HRC 65. The ball nose end mills are available in the diameters 0.20 to 8.0 mm. Polished cutting edges and flutes ensure smooth swarf removal and low wear.
Moreover, end mill cutters with corner radius in the series 594H and 595H are available in a range of diameters and corner radii of 0.05 mm. Both are for roughing work and operate quietly with the advantage of achieving large swarf volumes, Zecha explained.
