FIPA Inc. announced the release of its heavy-duty spring plungers: the SZ-NIV-HD series. The company’s newest offering provides the most innovative vacuum components for dynamic handling and short cycle times - must-haves in rough production environments.
“Spring plungers, also called spring loaded suction fingers, ensure that the attached suction cups handle sensitive products gently and protect the grippers from collision damage, “ says Rainer Mehrer, President of FIPA. “The new design of our SZ-NIV-HD series and the use of high-quality bearing material now ensure not only optimized product lifecycles but also maintenance-free service.”
One of the key reasons for the long service life of FIPA’s heavy-duty spring plungers is the high-quality IGUS plain bearing, which offers high abrasion resistance and excellent sliding properties with minimum play. The lubricant embedded in the bushing material ensures smooth running and thus maintenance-free operation throughout the entire service life.
In addition, the lubricant mitigates the build-up of dust particles that could accumulate in the plain bearing. Stainless steel shafts and the optional rotation protection make this new product perfect for industrial production environments, significantly improving accuracy and durability.
Powerful, reliable, cutting-edge products that work for you - that’s FIPA. The new heavy-duty spring plungers at a glance:
- Height difference accommodation: Choice of up to three heights per connection thread

- Long product life: Abrasion-resistant self-lubricating bushing material
- Automatic adjustments: Automatic height adjustment via spring plungers
- Gentle positioning: Protects sensitive materials thanks to spring action
